Perfect little and brand-new room, fairly clean hotel in general.
Everything was perfect, very good service, amazing location near to centre of Amsterdam as well as the channel, in the Amsterdam downtown. Plenty of food for the full English breakfast. A really good way to end my trip.

The steep stairs are a hassle for bringing up luggage!!! It would also help if noise levels were managed better as guests above can be disturbingly loud!!!

Staying at Van Gelder seemed like visiting a historical gem! The lovely decor, reminiscent of old Amsterdam charm, paired with perfectly appointed rooms. It was a short, pleasant walk to the central sights.
